[Profile]
Born in 1966. Maker in Granada, Spain. His father is Manuel Bellido, one of the leading master craftsmen of the region, and his uncle is also a maker, Jose Lopez Bellido. He entered his father's workshop at the age of 13 and built his first guitar at 17. Between 1989 and 1995, he held a position as a guitar-making instructor, after which he established his first workshop and devoted himself to making guitars. 1999 he returned to his father Manuel's workshop, where he works to this day.
He has repaired and restored many guitars made by master craftsmen of the past and present, and has a particular knowledge of the finest instruments of his own country. This is reflected in his replica models of Torres, Santos Hernandez, Manuel de la Chica, and others. His original models are also highly regarded as reviving the good old Andalusian sound. The sound is lively, with excellent dynamic range and volume. Although the workmanship is slightly rough, the handmade appearance of the shellac paint shows the same rustic quality as the sound, which is one of its charms.

[Description]
Torres 1883 SE54 model (2015) made by Jesus Bellido is now in stock. The label reads “Recreacion Torres 1883 No.54 2e Epoca No.1” in his own handwriting, and is a replica model of Antonio de Torres (1817-1892), the founder of the modern guitar. However, while the basic design of this model conforms to the original, it is a re-creation of Jesus himself, a fruition of his philosophy and the original functionality of Torres' without conflict. From the beginning, along with his own original models, Jesus created homages to master craftsmen such as Torres, Santos Hernandez, and Manuel de la Chica. Each of these models is strongly influenced by the characteristics of Jesus, but the great appeal of these models is that they have a very old- spanish sound. However, as his research deepened, minor changes were constantly made, and there were times when his ideas did not always seem to be successful. This 2015 model is one of the best in recent years, blending the essence of the original model with Jesus' production philosophy. Despite the small size of the body, the sound is full and rich. The sound is dry and dry like Jesus, but a little shiny, and it sings well with sufficient sustain. It has his characteristic Granada brightness and excellent acoustic balance.
There are no major repairs such as cracks or modifications. There are some minor scratches on the entire sound board, but they do not detract from the appearance of the instrument.
