Mahito Yokoo was born in Saitama Prefecture in 1975. His father, Shunsuke Yokoo (1946-2023), was also a guitar maker. After studying woodworking at a technical college, he began training under his father in guitar making in 1997, and in 2002, he went to Spain to attend a guitar-making workshop led by the world famous master craftsman Jose Luis Romanillos, where he learned Spanish guitar-making techniques. After returning to Japan, he started making his own original guitars under his own label in 2008, and continues to this day.

We are pleased to announce the arrival of Mahito Yokoo's No. 30 Flamenco model made in 2014. Yokoo has been producing quality classical guitars, and this flamenco model is also a model that has been produced with a strong concept in mind. This guitar was priced at 300,000 at the time of its release, a reasonable price for a handcrafted guitar, but it still has excellent flamenco acoustics and functionality, making it a good choice for beginners. It is a bit mellow for a flamenco guitar, and users of this genre may have different tastes, but it has excellent responsiveness, rigidity, and flamenco feel, and the overall sound is well integrated, so you will not feel stressed when playing it. There are scratches and rub marks commensurate with the age of the instrument, but there are no cracks or other major repairs. The neck, frets, tuning machines, and other parts related to playability are also in good condition. However, the bass side of the frets seems to have been deburred in the past, and there are slight signs that the fingerboard has been scraped (this does not affect playability).
