[Profile]
Born in Canada, he currently builds guitars in Granada, Spain. He is a very research-oriented craftsman who is faithful to traditional methods. He came to Spain in 1989, and after studying with José Ángel Chacón in Málaga, he settled in Granada, where he established a workshop under the advice of Antonio Marin and Rolf Eichinger. In 2006, he published 'EL ARTE DELA GUITARRA,' a book of photographs of his production process, and in 2007, he exhibited a restored 1892 (SE153) model at the Antonio de Torres exhibition in Córdoba, which was highly acclaimed.
[Description]
We are pleased to announce the arrival of Flamenco Blanca (white) model, No.32, 2001, made by John Ray. There are scratches and dents on both sides of the fingerboard and the treble side and under the bridge. The back of the neck also has scratches from playing. There is also a history of shaving the saddle wood to adjust the string height in the past. The sound board has a history of crack repair on the bass side and near the end block, each of which has been reinforced with patches from the inside. The sound is dry and has a good rigidity, reproducing the good old Spanish sound in his own way.
