[Profile]
Saburo Nogami apprenticed himself to Masaru Kohno in 1959 and continued his studies and production at Masaru Kohno's workshop until early 1970. After becoming independent, Saburo Nogami began to produce not only classical guitars, but also lutes, vihuelas, and other ancient instruments, as well as alto guitars and other guitars for ensembles.
His long-standing collaboration with the Niibori Conservatory began around the same time, and he was responsible for making guitars for ensembles. In parallel with this, he focused on promoting introductory guitars and also established a long cooperative relationship with K. Yairi Guitars, contributing to the development of the K. Yairi classical guitar.
[Description]
This guitar was made by Saburo Nogami in 1990. The label is a standard design with a handwritten inscription. The soundboard is made of cedar, and the back and sides are crafted from rosewood sourced from Central and South America.
The rosette design is based on Jose Luis Romanillos' famous mosque colonnade design, and the headstock shape follows the Torres style. The tuning machines are of Gotoh's separate type.
