kaoru Ono(1954～) is one of the finest luthiers in Japan who for over 30 years now is consistently producing guitars. At first he studied wood technology at the university,　and became interested in making guitars. Around 1980, he was apprenticed to Alberto Nejime Ohno. In 2001 he participated in a course of guitar making lecture by Jose Luis Romanillos at Siguenza, Spain. And also he met Arcangel Fernandez in Japan and was advised a great deal. So deeply impressed by traditional Spanish guitar style, he explored his own image of sound.

This is an original model produced by Kaoru Ono, new in 2023.
This extremely high-density model is the result of years of research into the structures and acoustic systems of Torres, Hauser, and Romanillos, and is the result of one of his own production philosophies. Compared to the Hauser model, which has become a popular model of this maker, this original model has a softness and brightness, with a pleasant echoing sound, which gives it an appealing feeling of familiarity. It has excellent linearity in response to changes in the right hand's touch, and its outpouring of power is superb. The tone is very romantic, with Spanish lyricism and high elegance. The tone comes out without stress and is very easy to play.
The exquisiteness of the workmanship is also excellent, and combined with the beautiful texture of the shellac finish, it is a great attraction. The strings are moderately tensioned and very easy to play.
