Jose Ramirez is the most famous Spanish guitar brand in the world. This brand has even made the history of Spanish guitar making for more than a century since the era of Jose Ramirez I.
In particular, the guitars produced during the era of Jose Ramirez III were both innovative and widely popular, and continued to attract guitar fans from all over the world.
The ceder is mainly adopted for the top, and the inside of the both sides is made of cypress, which is used in flamenco guitars, to create a double-layer structure.
The string length is 664mm, which is longer than usual, and urea resin was used for the finish.
These innovations made by Ramirez III on the classical guitar were truly original and had a great
impact on later guitar making in general, and at the same time, the sweet, lustrous, romantic tone, known as the 'Ramirez-tone,' came to define the very image of the classical guitar.
Ramirez III's son, IV (1953-2000), began working as an apprentice in his father's workshop at the age of 18, and was officially recognized as a craftsman in 1977. In 1988, he and his sister, Amalia, took over the management of the brand, and while continuing their father's production philosophy, they further expanded their market share by developing sales strategies that better met the needs of the times (such as producing estudio models and adopting a standard 650mm scale). However, Ramirez IV passed away in 2000, only five years after the death of Ramirez III.
Amalia took the lead in continuing product development, but since the 2000s, the popularity has been concentrated on models made during the reigns of III and IV, when Andres Segovia's famous performances were still remembered. In particular, those from the 1960s, which were stamped with the initials of the craftsman who was in charge of their production, are still played by fans of the past.

Jose Ramirez 1A C-650A 1967 Reissue model made in 2007, sound board is spruce, back and sides are Indian rosewood, 650 mm. There are no cracks or other major repairs or modifications. There is a 1cm diameter wood repair near the tip of the head plate, but it has been carefully repaired and is not noticeable.
There are some scratches on the body commensurate with its age, and the back and sides are in good overall condition with only minor rubbing from clothing.
