Paul Sheridan is a maker with a workshop in Perth, Australia, and is one of the most important brands in Australia after Greg Smallman.
He began production in 1985, initially using traditional methods, but later adopted the Lattice bracing structure under the influence of Smallman. It has 10 bars parallel to the bottom from the sound hole and 8 bars orthogonal to it, and has a chessboard-like structure when viewed from the front. Furthermore, a very thick and strong bar is installed from the end block to the sound hole so that it does not touch the top. The thickness of the top is thicker near the neck, and the area of the grid-like bars is thinned. The highly stable Tasmanian oak neck is bolted to the body, and the top is a raised fingerboard with a gentle slope towards the base of the neck. The thin D-shaped neck is very comfortable to the hand, and high playability is pursued.
He is also particular about the material, the top is high quality Engelmann Spruce, and the back and sides are arched by Jarrah, which is native to Australia. The finish is a lacquer matte finish that matches Maple's sleek armrests. Rosetta's stylish design is also wonderful, making it one of the best visuals. This is the first arrival of a new brand, a popular brand that currently has a waiting list for 2 to 3 years.
