[Profile]
Born in 1966. Maker in Granada, Spain. His father is Manuel Bellido, one of the leading master craftsmen of the region, and his uncle is also a maker, José López Bellido. He entered his father's workshop at the age of 13 and built his first guitar at 17. Between 1989 and 1995, he held a position as a guitar-making instructor, after which he established his first workshop and devoted himself to making guitars. 1999 he returned to his father Manuel's workshop, where he works to this day.
He has repaired and restored many guitars made by master craftsmen of the past and present, and has a particular knowledge of the finest instruments of his own country. This is reflected in his replica models of Torres, Santos Hernandez, Manuel de la Chica, and others. His original models are also highly regarded as reviving the good old Andalusian sound. The sound is lively, with excellent dynamic range and volume. Although the workmanship is slightly rough, the handmade appearance of the shellac paint shows the same rustic quality as the sound, which is one of its charms.

[Description]
This is a Torres model (labeled as Torres 6) made by Jesús Bellido and made in 2007. This model is always included in the lineup along with his own original models. The replicas of Manuel de la Chica, his predecessor in Granada, and other vintage series are all excellent and show his genuine respect, but it seems that he had special feelings for Torres, the 'founder of the classical guitar'. The well-known replica of the 1883 SE54 is an attractive Torres model with a small body reminiscent of 19th century guitars but with a rich sound, and this Torres 6 is a mid-size piece closer to the modern size. And with the raw woody sound typical of Jesús, it is rigid and has a sharpness of articulation that seems to respond just by touching the strings. The treble, in particular, is surprisingly firm and glossy, creating an acoustic that is both elegant and lively. These characteristics are very compatible with the original Torres, and they naturally landed on a Torres-like character. While many brands around the world are currently producing similar models, most of them are reworked or remodeled instruments in the modern sense, the Torres de Jesús is a true replica with a 19th century presence.
All surfaces have the original shellac finish, and the area around the soundhole is slightly scratched from playing, but it is commensurate with the age of the instrument. There are no cracks or other major repairs.
