[Profile]
Born in Madrid, Spain in 1951. His father, Feliciano Bayon (1922-1997), married Santos Hernandez's wife Matilde's niece Esperanza, whose relationship led to the production of Santos guitars on the Viuda de Santos Hernandez label. When Matilde died in 1955, Feliciano officially took over the workshop of Santos and continued to work with his son Santos Bajon until his death in 1997.
Santos Bajon entered the workshop at the age of 18 and became a disciple of his father, using the tools left by his great uncle Santos Hernandez to improve his skills. After his father's death, he continued to make at the same workshop, but now the workshop is closed. The traditional workshop has been relocated to the Guitar Museum in Sigüenza with the help of Jose Luis Romanillos.
[Description]
Made in 1987. He was greatly influenced by his great uncle Santos Hernandez via his father Feliciano, but made an adorable guitar with a slightly different taste than his uncle. The sound is soft and comfortable, and it is a guitar that makes you feel the depth rather than the splendor. There are scratches on the sound board, but it is in good condition considering the age. There is a tendency for the neck to warp slightly, but the string height is appropriate and there is no problem with playing.
