[Profile]
Born in 1931. He began making violins while still in college, and has since taught himself to make mainly stringed instruments. 1968 marked the beginning of his career as a classical guitar maker. His uncompromising craftsmanship, which he proudly states 'will never break,' is in tune with Japanese tastes and has attracted many non-classical guitar users. The guitars are made without any unnecessary decorations, and are of high quality. Currently, his son Yukihiro has taken over the Chai Guitar Workshop and continues to produce guitars.
