Description
This is the Yamaha NTX900FM, part of the company’s “NX Series” of electric nylon-string guitars, first introduced in 2009. The NX lineup includes two main styles: the NCX series, which features a traditional classical guitar body, and the NTX series, designed for players seeking the familiar feel and playability of a steel-string acoustic guitar. This model belongs to the latter and is built with striking flame maple back and sides, giving it both a refined appearance and bright tonal character.
The NTX900FM is equipped with Yamaha’s proprietary SYSTEM-61 pickup and preamp system, which is highly regarded for its reliable performance and user-friendly interface—ideal for stage use and live performance settings.
Although this guitar is now over 10 years old, it remains in excellent condition. There are no cracks or signs of major repair, and only minor cosmetic wear is visible, including a few small dents and scratches, as well as string marks beneath the bridge from the 2nd and 3rd strings.
Please note that the included hard case is not the original Yamaha case, but a high-quality Boblen case made by the respected Canadian manufacturer.
This model has been discontinued, making it a valuable find for players and collectors seeking a versatile, stage-ready nylon-string guitar with Yamaha’s signature build quality.
